Wasting my young years

Years ago Kathryn dug up a box of old super-8 film from her childhood. She had an inkling of what was in there but hadn't seen any of the finished product for decades. I paid to have it digitized in 2008, but then never did anything with it. Fast forward many years and one snowbound winter later, I was in the mood for some editing. Here are the results.

The "Motherland" film was created in 1968 by Kathryn's aunt Mary when she visited as a child. But the original version was over half an hour long. The second, "Wasting My Young Years" is a straightforward montage of random footage I liked.
